Reminder!

To do!
This is just a reminder to everyone regarding the importance of setting goals, and consistently following up on them. The very first thing I start each and every day with is my list of things I’d like to accomplish for the day.
I write them out with a little dash before each entry (-write two blogs for my readers) and as I go through my list and accomplish each one, I simply circle the dash, so I know I’ve completed it. Now I know not to get discouraged if I don’t manage to get each and every one of them circled, because I purposely write out more than I think I can accomplish, simply to “stretch” myself. Any of the ones that don’t get done, will simply move over onto tomorrow’s list. You see the reason that lists are so important is that they work. We get a sense of accomplishment, as we complete these tasks that we considered important enough to set out for ourselves!
It also helps to keep us on track, with just a glance we can see whether or not, were ahead of schedule for having a productive day, or whether we’re slowly falling behind.
But don’t stop, with having just a set of daily goals. Daily goals are great for the short term, but what about other projects we’d like to see get accomplished?
It’s important to have monthly and even yearly goals to help keep us on track, whether it’s socking away a few hundred bucks for the next 12 months for the next “top of the line” laptop we would like to purchase, or reminding ourselves that it’s getting close to that time when we need to have our taxes in.
What I’ve done, is to pick up a white board calendar and on the side there is a spot for me to write out my months goals, I always start the month off, with my 10 – 20 goals, and I know that as I accomplish them, I’m doing things I might not otherwise be doing. I’m going to share my list of goals for February with you. Now these are simply my personal goals that I’ve deemed important.
1. Open a TFSA account (Tax Free Savings Account) – (Done!)
2. Launch www.mysearchrobot.com – (Done!)
3. Launch www.mysearchspider.com – (Done!)
4. Start up a Blog. (Now as you know I’ve taken one over, rather than starting a new one. – (In progress)
5. Install sequential tail lights on my Mustang. – (not done)
6. Pay my $300.00 speeding ticket (it’s a really nice Mustang) – (not done)
7. Sell my brand new Nitrous Kit (see above) – (in progress)
8. Finish my Course (Internet Marketing)
9. Train 21+ days (gym rat) – (in progress)
10. Fix Daya’s Car. (Her car is neon, and almost NEVER gets a speeding ticket!) – (Done!)
11. Pay off my M/C – (we won’t go there!)
12. Research Blogging – (in progress)
13. Go see a play – (not done)
14. Take Daya to the museum – (not done)
15. Buy Daya some roses – (done)
And these are the goals I felt I’d like to accomplish this month. I have come to look forward to the beginning of the month, because I feel an almost… excitement! I know that I’ll be accomplishing things that are important to me, and that will help develop me in my everyday life.
Readers, please feel free to share your own goal setting stories, or even your own personal goals, for those brave souls out there!
Once again, thanks for reading
