So glad you loved this post too Jen. I had a blast writing it! :) Yes, feeling emotions is key and it can be tricky. I even have a tough time doing it, but I'm getting better. It's amazing how much we hold in and don't fully feel.

Thanks again for commenting!

Cheers,

Dayne, this was one of your best posts I've read so far! :)
You covered a lot of areas very well! I would say that the areas I still find myself stuck in are 'finding ways to ensure all suppressed emotions are cleared and most importantly stay cleared going forward' and also 'feeling my emotions' not disregarding them, but letting them flow through me,.. (this doesn't mean serving them either, for it is not who i am) I love how you shared this is what makes humans so beautiful! I believe that our vulnerability really is our strength also, although it does not feel comfortable in those moments! It's amazing to understand the power of the Spirit and to express life from this sacred position. I appreciate this portion you shared on 'feeling emotions'.. [I think many of us have simply forgotten how to do this fully and we are
cutting this fruitful and blissful aspect out of our lives.]
i think this is where I'm at.,.. the more we grow, the more we wish to 'reclaim' and 'fully' wrap around what we deserve ~why should it be any less for we seek wholeness on this journey! It will be found! Namaste blessings, Jen/Sharmila

Hi Matthew, thanks for your question.

Yes, I do feel that loving and respecting yourself is one of the greatest ways to really feel and be a human being. Is it easy? No. Have many been trying to do this for thousands of years? Yes. But I have noticed those who are truly happy in life are the ones who don't take themselves so seriously and are kind to themselves (self-love). It IS possible.

This post was simply created to briefly summarize how we can get back to our true natural selves, our real humanness. Sure, not an easy thing, but something well worth aiming for. Thank you again for visiting TheHappySelf.com. You also have a very nice blog btw, good job.

I have one question in reading this post: How?

It's all very well saying "just love yourself" - but that's what people have tried to do for thousands of years.

WOW! This is a great post! I love the steps and the way you've provided all of the detailed information. All of them are SO important and raise such great points about humanity and how we interact with each other in society.
