Great post!

The concept of both 'positive' & 'Negative' thoughts etc are judgmental and that comes from illusion.

Truth has no need to go beyond that it is.......once truth is stretched from 'just is' to 'good/bad' it is distorted into a dream made to seem real!

All that is, is a glorious spontaneous and timeless brilliance. No 'Nows' either, for that takes on with it a 'before & after'.................which doesn't exist.

Existence IS period.

If ones perceives a 'need' then one has tricked oneself into an illusion of 'lacking' which just doesn't exist.

Allness is fully equipped as it were or else it just would not be................

Very interesting read. I can totally relate with what you said. If you just don't expect results, you are virtually unbreakable because nothing will bother you!

Dayne,

During my many transformation phases, I come back to reflect and, you're right, the emotional roller coasters in life are all due to the realization that our goals aren't meant. Because we feel the need to compare ourselves to other people's goals and accomplishments–and our own–we're never truly living in the present.

Instead, we encourage our own negative positive thinking to circle back and keep us in limbo. Even when we think we're making progress, if we let ourselves compare our present accomplishment to that of one from the past, we raise our own bar and get upset if we can't reach it again.

Wonderful post, Dayne. I will mention you, this blog, and your blog on my site.

I meant to type: and I say that from personal experience, and not the repetition of beliefs.

At first I was kind of taken aback by this post, but then I read Dayne's response and was reminded about the importance of listening to diverse opinions. I then re-read the post and noticed what I thought was a very interesting point. While I do genuinely believe we should monitor our thoughts and having positive thoughts is imperative, I thought the post was making a very important point about detachment (as Dayne also mentioned) and cautioning us about the issues with classifying things as either positive or negative. I know I sometimes get attached to having a certain outcome and have thought I knew exactly what was a positive outcome and what was a negative one. The reality was I had no idea and those things I believed at the time were negative, in hindsight have been some of the best things that could have ever happened to me. Perhaps I am reading too much into the post, but I do believe there is something to be said about not getting too attached with having what we have classified as positive things in our life.

I frequently write about the fallacy of the ideas that are about positivity, optimism and the Law of Attraction and the like. You're right, it's controversial. :)

There is of course nothing wrong with any of these; in fact, Truth is positive and optimistic, and there is truth in the Law of Attraction--and I say that from personal experience, and repetition of beliefs.

The problem is slapping on positive thinking on top of negativity and limiting beliefs and fears cannot work. As you point it, all it does it put more limits on us.

Release all delusions, and what is left is positivity itself.
